Human rights, sustainable development and the role of business
The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights define how businesses should respect human rights.
But how is human rights implemented into the business strategy when entering new markets, negotiating with suppliers or third parties and how can companies push human rights into their subsidiaries and business relationships overall?
On top of the human rights agenda, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals present numerous opportunities for businesses. Not least in developing countries, where millions of people lack access to healthy food, water, sanitation and energy. Danish companies have years of experience in offering sustainable solutions. But how can companies seize the opportunities and take action?
This hands-on seminar is targeting the private sector and discusses challenges and opportunities for businesses operating internationally.
Time and place: 16. september 2016, 9.30-15.30, Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), H. C. Andersen Boulevard 18, 1787 Copenhagen V.
